DIY Essential Oil Nourishing Cream

Essential oils are amazing for treating skin conditions. They beautify and rejuvenate your skin, while improving cellular health and treating wrinkles, scars and dark spots. This easy-to-make nourishing cream is made with only natural organic ingredients, and is free of any chemicals, toxins, dyes and preservatives.

Frankincense Essential Oil

Frankincense essential oil has antimicrobial effects, with the ability to treat breakouts and prevents future ones. Regenerating new skin cells quickly to heal scars, minimize wrinkles and fade stretch marks. It also lightens dark spots and exfoliates dead skin cells while healing and rejuvenating your skin.

Shea Butter

Shea Butter is renowned as a skin hydrator and moisturizer, containing Vitamin A  and Vitamin E it helps in the minimizing of wrinkles, blemishes, treating eczema and mitigating the damaging effects of sun exposure, which include dark spots and skin dehydration.

Rosehip Essential Oil

The rosehip oil has antioxidant properties which deter the skin from showing signs of aging. High in Vitamin A and Vitamin C, these nutrients are needed to remove fine lines and wrinkles, while encouraging and accelerating healthy skin cell production.

Argan Oil

Argan oil is packed with Vitamin E, linoleic acids and essential omega fatty acids that repairs and hydrate our skin. An excellent moisturizer with anti-inflammatory qualities, it’s an excellent oil for healing irritated and damaged skin.

Ingredients

½ Cup Of Shea Butter

2 Teaspoons Of Rosehip Essential Oil

3 Tablespoons Of Argan Oil

15 Drops Of Frankincense Essential Oil

7 Drops Of Geranium Essential Oil

¼ Teaspoon Of Vitamin E Oil

2 Tablespoons Of Cocoa Butter

Method

 
Melt shea and cocoa butter using the double boiler system.
 
When the butter has melted, add argan oil and rosehip oil in the melted butter and mix well.

Now allow the mixture to cool, it must be at room temperature before the next step.

It should look thick (creamy) and opaque.

Add all the essential oils and vitamin E oil in the bowl.

Whip on high speed for 8 to 10 minutes, until it becomes fluffy and creamy.

Transfer to clean and airtight jar, for a shelf life of 3-4 months.

Store in a clean and dry place, not in direct sunlight.

Apply it twice a day on a cleansed face or wherever you want on the skin.

*Remember the cream contains essential oils, always do patch test before applying it for the first time.
